I’ve only had this unit for about a week. For 40S&W it’s amazing. It’s quite easy to setup if you read through the manual. I’ve run 2k 40sw cases through it thus far. Took a whole 5 minutes to do. Takes the glock bulge out of case with ease. I haven’t found it quite necessary for 223 yet. Seems...

I’ve had this thing for 7 months, sized about 100K rounds of brass now and am totally hooked. Brass comes out looking like new, especially as the others have said 9mm. Before I got this I hated reloading that caliber now I get totally reliable ammo that even looks good ???? I started with 9, 40...

Solid piece of commercial grade equipment that is built to last long beyond my expectations. I am new to this process of sizing the base of the brass. It doesn’t get more user friendly than this for the beginner. A must have for 9mm and especially 40 S&W. At Double Alpha it’s not only affordable,...

WOW - what a machine. In the past up to 10% of the reloads I made were rejected for the Glock bulge. With this machine every single reload goes through the check easily.

A must have unit for either hard-core enthusiasts, shooting clubs, ranges or commercial subjects for removing glock-bulges and any other kinds of deformations from your brass. We run all our 9 mm Luger reloads through this (and another one) roll sizer and the complete rounds never fail to chamber...

I received the machine and have ran around 25,000 9mm cases through it at the time of this review.

Pros:
Fast, accurate, easy setup, does what it says it does, not terribly loud (my media tumbler is louder with CC media in it), not many moving parts so I'm sure this thing will be reliable for...

Rollsizer - Complete Unit With Caliber Conversion and Drop Tube

(7)
Manufacturers: Rollsizer

Description:

This is a compelete Rollsizer unit at the caliber of your choice.

Double-Alpha Academy is proud to be the official and Exclusive European Distributor for the fantastic Rollsizer from Whitehead Specialty Engineering, Australia.

This commercial-grade, industrial-strength, Electric-Drive RollSizer will meet and exceed the needs of any shooter, club or commercial reloader. The powerful Air-cooled AC motor, and over-sized gearbox mount directly to the sizing disc and base, ensure power and accuracy in abundance. The hardened all-steel construction provides an almost limitless lifespan and will offer you many years of reliable service.

The Rollsizer will effectively remove that bulge so often found on the lower third of a fired cases, bringing your range-brass back to spec when combined with standard reloading dies. Bulgy brass will reload again like new, and will fit the ammo gauges once loaded, providing you once again with reliable worry-free, competition-ready ammo.

Caliber changes are completed in a matter of seconds by simply changing out the center disc thereby changing the size of the sizing slot (and in some cases the feed tube and activation lever must be changed too). The output speed of the machine (up to over 6100!!! Rounds per hour) can be adjusted by adding or removing the activation bolts from the discs, to match the feed speed of your case feeder.

You can hook up the ROLLSIZER to your current case feeder, without removing it from your reloading press, using the included long PVC pipe. Or, set up your ROLLSIZER with a  dedicated case feeder (not included), placing it on the provided steel bracket, for a compact stand-alone workstation.

This is a Rollsizer base unit only, without the caliber conversion kit or drop tube. Once you select an add a caliber conversion kit, the parts you will need to be up and running will be included.

Takes the glock bulge out of case with ease. I haven’t found it quite necessary for 223 yet. Seems all my range brass don’t have much bulge at all. It definitely takes some pressure off the progressive press while loading. I still lube the cases, but it glides right through the sizing process. For those having trouble with the frame rails being “bent” and uneven, loosen the bolts and nuts holding the frame rails to the gearbox. There’s plenty of play in the holes and it’s easy to level it out.

Cosmetically, the machine could use a little more quality control. The frame rails are flimsy for a $2k investment. And no this is not to “protect your investment” during shipping as the manual states. There are minor scuffs and what not, but really not bad at all. I will say the welds holding the case feeder bracket to the frame rail is bad.... real bad ????‍♂️ A little embarrassing for the price point. Like I almost went into the shop and built a new frame for it kinda bad. The gearbox is not blue as shown in the photos. Kinda sad as it looks better with the blue instead of all silver, but it still works.

All in all, this is a fantastic design. The machine functions great and very efficient. It’s such a short step to add to the reloading process and with great results. I doubt I’ll even bother to gauge any of my finished rounds anymore.

Before I got this I hated reloading that caliber now I get totally reliable ammo that even looks good ???? I started with 9, 40 and 45 and since have ordered 38/357 and 44 conversions. I use to case gauge my brass before I reloaded it but now I don’t bother.
I’m running it with the Dillon variable speed case feed and while not perfect I can run the sizer at full speed (six bolts). I choose to wear ear muffs because it’s not real quiet and with that case feed it’s not really a fill and walk away thing. As soon as you leave the case feed will hiccup, plus it empties that case feed pretty quickly at full speed.
My brother bought the DC model at the same time and is real happy with it too, although slower it’s real quiet and seems simpler.

We run all our 9 mm Luger reloads through this (and another one) roll sizer and the complete rounds never fail to chamber in our strict C.I.P. gauges. Highly recommended. Oh, also, Double Alpha Academy, as always, perfect communication, service, speed. We received this unit as we needed it urgently (our first unit wasn't enough for our volume) within a week. Perfect service!

I received the machine and have ran around 25,000 9mm cases through it at the time of this review.

Pros:
Fast, accurate, easy setup, does what it says it does, not terribly loud (my media tumbler is louder with CC media in it), not many moving parts so I'm sure this thing will be reliable for decades. It comes with spare parts such as springs bolts and pins. The pins are a specially treated spring steel so you can heat them up and re set them if they bend (so dont throw them out unless they break but I have not had one break). Did I mention fast. I have a Mark 7 Revolution and the case feeder I use to feed the roll sizer as well. The roll sizer with 4\6 bolts is the sweet spot. 5 bolts and the roll sizer processes faster than my case feeder. I dont know of a case feeder that can feed fast enough for all 6 bolts but that's not a con. That's a pro that it processes fast. The machine also helps me catch those nasty 380 cases. I pick those out because they are easially spotted going around the sizer.

Cons:
Cosmetic. The machine arrived with scratches and chips all over. I contacted DAA but no one has got back to me. Machine functions great but cosmetically looked like someone dumped brass cases from 5 ft over the whole machine. This doesn't affect its functionality but sucks when you pay 2k for something and it looks like what mine did. Second item was the legs were a bit bent (wouldn't sit level on a level surface). I had to shim mine. Not far off, but wobbled like the table at a diner just enough to piss you off. Again nothing that couldn't be fixed with some small bit of intelligence but just trying to give my honest opinion of a machine that cost nearly 2k.

Overall excellent machine, just maybe I expected a bit more "perfection" for 2k.
