I hate to do this, but this scale can be very inconsistent. Nothing against DAA as they replaced the first one with another unit quickly. I finally got it to perform reasonably by only using a proscribed method. See below.

I hate to do this, but this scale can be very inconsistent. Nothing against DAA as they replaced the first one with another unit quickly. I finally got it to perform reasonably by only using a proscribed method. See below.

This product is very sensitive. Turn OFF the auto-shutdown and let it heat up for a few minutes (all on battery, No plug available). You then MUST wait at least 10 seconds between readings else you will get very inconstant results. Trying to weigh stuff in fairy rapid succession will result in up to .4 gn variance. If you go slow it will be between .1 and .2 gn tolerance.

I tested it by weighing the SAME item (be it the empty pan or 4.2gn of VV320) showing UP TO .4gn variance. Weigh it, take it off the scale for a few seconds then put it back on. Should read the same right? Nope. Calibrate, tare all you want but the reading can vary that much. 2 out of 3 readings are within .1 or spot on but then it pushes the envelope. When you wait between weigh-ings, the variance goes down to a more acceptable level.

My room is 74 deg, no errant wind or breeze. No electronics or florescent lights.
YMMV
