I was having problems getting good lines on 9mm, and before I gave up, I ran a few 10mm through the unit with the same set up I was using with the 9mm. The 10's got good lines and I think it may have "settled" the pens, because the 9's worked well after that.
The feed chute spring tries to pull the unit up off the shelf in my present orientation, so I may try adding some clear tubing or something to give it some relief. Also, about 30% of the ammo was not flipped, but it does have marks so it will work.
The unit does work after some tweaking, and I really don't know of anything else that does what it does. Just watch the videos and have some patience with the set up.

Adjusting the pins took about a minute. Wasn't hard at all.
Works great at marking bullets.

Works OK, but has some issues 3.5 stars. 1. Hard to adjust pens to get clean or full lines and must be reset with each use, despite o-stoppers. 2. Spring chute funnel design, makes it hard to find a place to hang(won't hang on an RL550). Easier to just drop down chute. 3. 45ACP too heavy to get a full rotation/line prior to ejection. Generates only partial lines. 4. Power leads are very fragile and won't stay connected. Eventually tabs will break off motor. A few redesign "tweaks" would make this a five star product.

Easy to use, marks brass as it should. I shoot 9x19 and .40 S&W. Now I'm sure I get my brass back after training sessions;-)

Didn’t like it.
I didn’t manage to make it paint uniform lines.
Ink doesn’t stay in the brass.

the product works you have to look for the correct angle of the ammunition inlet tube to prevent them from overturning also due to the rebound effect that occurs when they hit the plastic support. The possibility of accessing the rubber roller should be improved, which after some time must be cleaned with alcohol because it gets dirty with the color of the markers. Overall a useful and functional product. Always very fast shipping and delivery.

This is a great product that saves time. I have spent many an hour marking my brass. Marking the brass with one turn of the shell plate is fantastic.
I have one concern, the method of making the connection of power to the motor. Ple4ase come up with some thing better.
It would be a good idea to have a housing around the motor an electrical connection in order to protect the connection
If I could give a 6 star rating I would, Bravo Zulu to the person who cam,e up with the Idea.

First off ditch the sharpies that come with the unit. THEY DO NOT WORK. I gave up after an hour, did research on Eno's and ordered the Brush Sharpies.
Once I got the Brush Sharpies it took less that 90 seconds to get it to work.
I would give 5/5 stars if DAA shipped the unit with markers that worked.

Great concept. I like to mark my cases for easy identification in the range. HOWEVER, after marking the cases and handling them for storage or loading, the permanent ink transfer to your hand and is a pain to wash off. Not sure how to offer a solution but maybe create or use a non permanent marker.

Not the most straightforward unit, lots of ways to adjust, but once you get it dialed in, it works perfectly *most* of the time. In a box of 100, I get red and black stripes in the right place and the right orientation 97 or 98 times. Always end up with 2 or 3 that end up not flipping properly, or not seating against the rim before getting striped. However, I will note that ever since getting this unit, I've gotten 100% of my brass back every match that I've shot with it.
I do wish the unit was a bit more "finished" with the motor unit permanently wired to some sort of power jack, rather than having to properly orientate two push on connectors each time. That way, I could also use a less bulky power supply instead of the one that covers other sockets on my power strip.
Either way, it sure beats marking brass by hand!

Great machine. No detailed instructions but assembly is self explanatory. Would’ve like brush tipped sharpies better that the included fine tip, but the accuracy of the system makes up for it.

Does not quite meet the expectations i had after watching the video. It takes quite a bit of time to get it set up. Lot's of experimenting on setting the correct distance as well as coming up with something with not to much but enough weight o hold the markers in place so that they would mark well, still working on that. Great idea, hope DAA will continue to fine tune it.

Works wells but it falls short of the quality and reliability I've come to expect from the DAA product offerings.
First it took a lot of time to tune it in to mark brass with a consistent stripe. Secondly if using a 650 XL the unit would be better served if the ejection part was 180 degrees offset since the 650 XL ejects to the right rear and brass marker is oriented to eject towards rear of machine instead of toward the front.
Overall I'd consider this to be a neutral review. Neither overly impressed or disappointed.

Pretty much mirroring the other comments - neat little tool that works but needs refinement. The unit itself could benefit from a redesign to make it less "garage-made" in appearance. Bullet orientation "flipper" is very inconsistent and hard to tune - I believe DAA knows this thus the disclaimer about bullet drop speed. Workaround is to use a single stripe, or just not care about color stripe orientation, which is they way I went. Red/Black or Black/Red it's all good to me. Also best results with Sharpie Brush Tip Markers over the standard sharpie, at least in the US - with a bullet taped to the end of the marker for weight to keep the markers from bouncing.
Overall it's a neat tool with a few quirks, but despite the setup challenges and quirks, I'm happy with the results. also, I don't know if I got a bad one but it's very clankly/raspy sounding when running compared to the one in the video.
[DAA] yes, it is important that the bullets arrive at the correct speed in order to be consistently flipped correctly. We have found it very reliable (more than 99%) when setup correctly, but it can take some experimentation in order to find the right position for the Brass Marker to receive the rounds down the chute at the correct speed for best performance. If you spend the time once to figure out the best position for your setup, you will be good to go!

Looked neat so I gave it a try. It works well, and is pretty quick at marking brass. They do need to improve motor terminals. Would recommend to anyone that doesn’t want to mark up the back of there cases.

Works as advertised. You do have to tinker with it a bit and I ended up adding. Weight to the markers and it works better ... over all saves time.
