Love it no more hunting for my brass, one suggestion when using. If it's windy you will have to put weight on the legs to keep from blowing over.
I highly recommend this.

This brass chute is wonderful, talk about a time saver. Without hurrying it takes about 2.5 min to set up and 3.5 to take down. I got it for practice on ranges that have grass, even with a tarp you don't always get them all. On concrete where you can sweep them up it still saves time. It packs up...

This is a really GREAT product for "stand & blast" USPSA stages, Steel Challenge and Glock GSSF matches. All the brass is funneled down into your bucket which can also hold the netting, leaving a bit more room in the carry case. The frame folds nicely into a compact length and the snap buttons...

Yes it’s expensive and expensive to ship as well. If you are a poor just keep picking brass the old way. If the money is not an issue then get one. It’s awsome. It has no real utility for matches but for training it’s great. If (like me) you train with a few friends you can buy a few little tubs...

Very nice product to avoid having to pick up brass off the ground. The brass catcher is very well designed and well made. High quality materials. Takes three minutes to set up or take down. We use separate buckets for each shooter so they can keep their own brass. I may buy another one

Yesterday I shot the Steel Challenge match at Ontelaune. They were using these on the stages. What a wonderful product! It worked like a charm! Its easy to set up, can be entirely mobile, and take up very little space when put away. I first saw this yesterday and mine is on order as I write this!

CED Brass Chute

(14)
Manufacturers: CED

Description:

The CED Brass Chute is an amazing product, that provides a fast and efficient method of collecting brass on the range.  Ideal for clubs or individual training sessions where collecting the brass for reloading or simply keeping the range clean is the goal.  Comes with its own carry case and sets up easily in minutes.

Constructed of an aluminum frame with a heavy-duty, weather resistant netting, this unique brass collection system is designed with a gravity fed funnel that drops the brass into a collection container.

Eliminates the need to pick up brass from the ground, or have to sort through various mixed calibers. The CED Brass Chute collects each shooter’s brass, funnels it into a container and allows the shooter to retrieve only his brass and all at once.

Color coded corners, locking extension tabs, and an all-in-one frame design, make it an easy task to set up and take down the CED Brass Chute.  The perfect companion for individual training, Steel Challenge style matches, or stages where a stationary shooting positions are used.

Dimensions:

- The net measures 73” wide and 83” deep.

- 58”x9”x4” when folded up in the carrying case

* Does not include Bucket/bin.

Initially I was very pleased with the brass chute brass catcher, however the more I used it the more disappointed I became with the netting support arm durability. After using the chute on a few breezy days (just enough to billow the netting, not blow it over) the vertical support arms loosened considerably where the "pop out catch pins" locked into the support arm brackets. Because of the "looseness" the support arms and netting sagged substantially.

To help alleviate the issue, I drilled holes in the support arm brackets and now when deploying the brass catcher I insert pins to keep the netting support arms fully extended. It adds a bit to setup time but nothing unbearable.

The concept is great, the portability is great, the netting material is durable, the size is reasonably efficient, but the frame "sturdiness" leaves a lot to be desired.

I shoot at a number of different pistol events at clubs that do not use any method of catching brass and the organizers of those events really appreciate when I set up my brass chute. A few have since purchased their own.

The pop out buttons make it faster to set up, I get it. But if they used pins to lock the the vertical support arms back in position it would be a home run.

Did you know that If brass is easily grouped in a small plastic container that can be lifted off the ground. People will not leave it for you. Someone from each Squad took the brass I was trying to collect. It works great,
And the color coding of the net ends adds to the easy set up.

One small drawback is that in shipping to me one of the leg adjustment push pins came out and was missing. Make sure you that no more of these fall out.
No big deal. You just fix it with a bolt, twig or 22 case.

Yes it’s expensive and expensive to ship as well. If you are a poor just keep picking brass the old way. If the money is not an issue then get one. It’s awsome. It has no real utility for matches but for training it’s great. If (like me) you train with a few friends you can buy a few little tubs to go underneath and just swap them out for each shooter. It catches like 95%+ of brass in static drills. The only exception is open guns with erratic ejection. The rear ‘wall’ is over 6ft high which means you can stand really close without your brass going over the top. You could try and make something out of a golf net etc. don’t bother. This is a far better solution. Very clever design.
