DAA Thin Pistol Case, Black
I am located in the USA and I spent months searching for a thin pistol case so that I could organize the top shelf in my gun safe. For decades, I have used soft zippered cases to protect and store each pistol. Unfortunately soft pistol cases take up too much room, and also they cannot be organized in any rational fashion due to their shape. I was searching for a solution that would allow me to reduce clutter, stack the cases, and quickly identify the contents of each case without opening the case. I began searching for a thin hard case that could hold 2 full size (5.5") bbl semi auto pistols. After months of searching online and in stores, I came across this DAA thin pistol case. I soon discovered that DAA does not offer this case for sale in the USA. After reaching out to customer support I was able to convince them to sell and ship a dozen cases to me. I asked DAA to consider selling these cases in the USA, however, DAA was adamant that they simply could not profit from selling in the USA. I disagree, but what could an American possibly know about American gun culture, right?? Either way, the cases are perfect for my storage needs, with the only exception being that there is no "flat" surface on the sides or on the latches themselves where labels could be attached to identify the contents. Labels can be attached to the top or bottom surfaces, however, this is not useful for identification while the cases are stacked on top of each other inside a safe. I am still trying to figure out a solution to the labeling problem, but I am still very happy with the cases regardless. 2 full size semi auto pistols (5.5" bbl) only leave room for 1 spare magazine, but that was acceptable for my needs. Smaller mid size pistols (4" bbl) leaves room for 2 spare mags. The case will also fit 3 micro pistols with magazines. Large frame revolvers will also fit in the case (Ruger 44 mag, Colt Python, etc). Sell these in the USA!!
