Due to the brush and its location it will slowdown the filled shell and not tilt the bullet, this helps in faster reloading and less failures. A well spend investment.

It works. However the plastic pin keeps breaking I'm on my second and probably the last one.

I'm very pleased with the brush. I am using it for 9mm reloading and it stabilizes the casings as they index to the next station. I trimmed the length just a bit to prevent the bristles from going into the powder die. Not a big deal and probably not really necessary, it just seemed better to me...

It's not working well. With 9x19 minor, i have some powder loose. So with a major Caliber it cannot be better.

I had to trim mine back some but it works great! I must have trimmed it just right because if a 38 round gets through when I'm loading 9 mm it will turn the case over. Sure the powder spills but I don't get a 38 round in with my 9mm.

little magic piece, wish I would have gotten this earlier. Works great with my 9x19, 40S&W and the .223
especially the 9x19m and .223 where the case is allmost full the spills went more or less to zero.
But I use two of them, one between station 4 and 5, the other between station 5 and 6

nycreloader here and I have to say that this had made a huge difference in my reloading on my Dillon 650. Almost no powder spill at all this was the last thing I added to completely reduce the spill caused by case movement jerking on movement.

Just a warning this will not work if you have the UFO light system installed. Maybe any light that is attached to the front upright will block the brush.

Other then that i would love to try it.

It does work by stopping the case from rattling whilst indexing. But somehow I still got some powder sitting on the brush.
However the one major annoyance is some of the bristles come off and get stuck under the shell plate which eventually causes some binding of the plate which then stiffens...

DAA PSP Brush

(43)
Manufacturers: Double-Alpha Academy

Description:

The DAA Powder-Spill-Prevention (PSP) Brush is a simple yet efficient reloading accessory that solves a real issue: How to prevent small amounts of powder being spilled out of the case, as the tool head of the progressive reloading press indexes?

This problem is even more acute for reloaders using Autodrive systems on their Dillon machines, in which case you cannot use your hand to stabilize the case, as the shell plate indexes forward. Especially when reloading very full cases, powder spill can have a real influence on the accuracy of the ammo you are producing, and the accumulating powder on your shell plate can prevent the smooth function of your press, and require frequent cleaning.

Introducing the DAA PSP brush solution. Just click this part onto your Dillon 1050 machine or to the Dillon 650 machine/Dillon 750 machine, and immediately your powder spill issues will be greatly reduced or completely eliminated. You’ll be able to index your shell plate faster, and produce more consistent, accurate ammo, while keeping your shell-plate clean and powder free.

DAA: sorry to read of your poor experience. that is odd as most are very happy with the product. We will contact you privately to work something out.

However the one major annoyance is some of the bristles come off and get stuck under the shell plate which eventually causes some binding of the plate which then stiffens the indexing.
So I'm still in search of a solution to powder spillage (besides using low bulk powder like Titegroup)
